Acupuncture Orlando is a very good form of treatment procedure that involves filiform needles inserted into specific points on the body of a patient for pain control or other health benefitting purposes. Acupuncture’s origin is believed to originate as far back as 1,500 years BC. The first book written about acupuncture dates back circa 200 BC in China.
Today, two schools of acupuncture are practiced mostly in Western countries. One is classical Chinese acupuncture and the other is Western Medical acupuncture (WMA). Classical Chinese acupuncture is a purist type of acupuncture faithful to its Taoist and naturalist origins. This is the acupuncture that has existed for ages. The belief of classical Chinese acupuncture (CCA) is that yin and the yang are components of chi which is like negative and positive energy are the two components of electricity. An imbalance or disharmony in chi and yin and yang will lead to pain and illness. To treat the pain and illness acupuncture needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body bringing back energy balance into the body. Classical Chinese acupuncture does the job by restoring energy balance and harmony of yin and yang.
Western medical acupuncture on the other hand has thrown away the idea of yin/yang, chi and other CCA paradigms. It does focus instead on the conventional science of biochemistry, physiology and anatomy. Practitioners of western medical acupuncture theorize that the proper placement of needles energize the central nervous system and this causes the release of endorphins and other beneficial biochemicals to relieve pain and improve the function of the immune system.
Major differences between CCA and WMA obviously show in their foundational concepts. Other differences lie on the number of needles necessary for treatment and how they are inserted into the skin. WMA uses fewer needles than CCA and the needles are left in the skin for a shorter period of time than CCA.
A lot of people sadly both discard both treatments and avail solely of conventional treatment. They probably have failed to hear so many accounts of people who have availed of acupuncture and got treated with it after all other forms of treatment including conventional medical treatment have failed. Because of acupuncture, many people who suffer from chronic pain have learned to live much better lives because acupuncture has helped them manage their pain better. Some people have been able to stop smoking, end their addiction, overcome infertility and lost a lot of unwanted weight because of acupuncture. In fact, both the World Health Organization and the US National Institutes for Health have officially endorsed acupuncture as an effective treatment for dozens of health conditions.
Studies shows how acupuncture help stimulate not only the production of endorphins but of natural steroids as well to help treat the swelling and inflammation and facilitate the healing of the body.
